Jaw Pitch is a recyclable paper-based range-of-motion scale designed for precise measurement of mandibular movements. Featuring a specially curved scale, it accurately measures jaw opening, protrusion, and lateral excursions with consistency and ease.

• Step 1: Prepare the Scale – Familiarize yourself with the curved measurement edge and the charting table located on the reverse side.
• Step 2: Measure Mouth Opening – Align the edge notch of the Jaw Pitch with the lower incisor. Instruct the patient to open their mouth fully and record the measurement where the upper incisal edge aligns on the scale.
• Step 3: Assess Protrusive Movement – Ask the patient to move the mandible forward as far as possible. Measure the distance of protrusion from the initial position using the scale.
• Step 4: Evaluate Lateral Excursions – Request the patient to move the lower jaw to the right side and measure the excursion. Repeat the process for the left side and document both values.
• Step 5: Record Findings – Use the charting table on the reverse side to document measurements, monitor progress, and support treatment planning decisions.
